Nurse Whittle from Northfield Elementary School will be traveling to India on October 14, 2009. I will be traveling with my parents, Bebe and Howie Whittle from Warren, Vermont. We will be visiting the northern part of India and are lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the Pushkar Camel Fair and the Taj Mahal among many other sites.

I am finally all packed and ready to go. We fly out of Montreal tomorrow. The time is 12 hours ahead in India. You can take a look at all of the time zones in the world by going to http://worldtimezone.com/ We will drive from Vermont to Montreal on Wednesday morning. We pretty much fit what we needed for all 16 days in our carry on luggage. Although we are checking one regular suitcase between the 3 of us. It would be difficult to continue on if they lost our luggage, so bringing it on the plane with us insures that we’ll have what we need. I am pretty excited now that I have gotten everything in order for my departure. I had to organize everything at work and at home. And at home I also had to get my farm in order. Phew! Soon I will be on an airplane and can start to relax.

I found a new map (above) that I think is easier to read. We will arrive in New Delhi. I hope to take plenty of photos myself, such as the one beautiful one of the Taj Mahal above. Talk to you from India!
